our elders.
A space for passing memory between generations through stories and recollections.

Listen. Connect. Pass it on.
- 01Prepare and listen.
Prepare your questions, then listen to a guest share experiences, memories and changes in African societies and their diasporas.
- 02Discuss and add context.
Talk with the guest, connect their life story to historical milestones and distinguish personal memory from the wider context. A life timeline may be created where appropriate.
- 03Reflect and keep exploring.
Take away an idea, raise a new question and reflect on the links between individual experience and collective history.
To keep exploring: approved historical resources and a summary, reviewed or validated as agreed. An annotated timeline is shared if one was created.
Each story is heard on its own terms, without asking anyone to speak for a country, a generation or a diaspora. Any recording, publication or archiving requires separate consent. An option without recording is available.
